You know how people always say kids’ minds are like sponges? That there is no limit to how much they can learn and absorb? I’ve always been fascinated and frankly somewhat jealous of this capability in kids. I have seen it unfold with my own children. How beautiful was that total solar eclipse today? Our sun, which is normally so reliable was suddenly stained black by the mysterious moon. For a brief few moments, everything went dark and still. The sun had vanished and the sky had darkened. It was not like night; it was not like day. It was simply something different. The rules of nature turned upside down, yet perfect in every way. Why You Should Be Loving Your 40s & Beyond
A couple of generations ago when women reached a certain age (usually in her 40s) they took a back seat. Resigned to adult responsibilities and not being the center of attention, the beginning of middle age was the beginning of the end. With few role models and very little positive representation in the media, a woman over 40 was considered to be done, finito, end of story.
